Airman Michael Geoghegan

Air Force Airman Michael Geoghegan has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations. In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. He is the son of James and Roberta Geoghegan of Kendall Ave., Framingham, Mass. Geoghegan is a 2005 graduate of Framingham High School.

Capt. Marlon E. Torrey

Air Force Capt. Marlon E. Torrey has arrived for duty at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, to serve as a member of Joint Task Force-Bravo (JTF-B). The task force is comprised of almost 600 U.S. military members and more than 650 U.S. and Honduran civilians who work in six different area units: the Joint Staff, the Army Forces, Air Force Forces, Joint Security Forces, the Medical Element, and the 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment, a helicopter unit. JTF-B units conduct military-to-military training, execute counter narco-trafficking operations, human trafficking deterrence, and engagement in civil affairs activities in conjunction with U.S. interagency partners. Torrey is an operating room clinical nurse with 34 years of military service. He is the son of Maria A. Marles of Wallala St., Walla Walla, Wash. The captain graduated in 1974 from Walla Walla High School, and received a bachelor’s degree in 1994 from Seattle Pacific University, Wash.

The lieutenant graduated in 2002 from North Mesquite High School, and received a bachelor’s degree in 2006 from Texas A&M University, College Station.

Air Force Lt. Col. Marshall C. Perry, Jr. has assumed command of the Joint Personal Property Shipping Office for the Northeast Region, Hanscom Air Force Base, Bedford, Mass. Perry is the son of Marshall C. Perry Sr. of Skyway Drive, Kannapolis, N.C., and brother of Louann Gates of Colony Ridge Road, Gastonia, N.C. His wife, Lori, is the daughter of Bill and Linda Morgan of Ferncliff Drive, Concord, N.C. The colonel graduated in 1988 from Northwest Cabarrus High School, Concord, and received a bachelor’s degree in 1992 from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. He earned a master’s degree in 2000 from Wilmington College, New Castle, Del.

Staff Sgt. Sherman R. Roberts

Air Force Staff Sgt. Sherman R. Roberts has arrived for duty at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, to serve as a member of Joint Task Force-Bravo (JTF-B). The task force is comprised of almost 600 U.S. military members and more than 650 U.S. and Honduran civilians who work in six different area units: the Joint Staff, the Army Forces, Air Force Forces, Joint Security Forces, the Medical Element, and the 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment, a helicopter unit. JTF-B units conduct military-to-military training, execute counter narco-trafficking operations, human trafficking deterrence, and engagement in civil affairs activities in conjunction with U.S. interagency partners. Roberts is a transient alert journeyman with five years of military service. He is the son of Cindella Roberts of Old McGraw Road, Eastover, S.C. The sergeant is a 2002 graduate of Lower Richland High School, Hopkins, S.C.

Staff Sgt. Jacob S. Dominion

Air Force Staff Sgt. Jacob S. Dominion has deployed to Southwest Asia in the Persian Gulf region to support the missions of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force Horn of Africa as a member of the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing (AEW). The servicemember is regularly assigned to the 28th Munitions Squadron, Ellsworth Air Force Base, Rapid City, S.D. Wing members provide support for the U.S. Air Forces Central mission. The 379th AEW is a large, diverse expeditionary wing with more than 100 combat and combat support aircraft, including eight coalition airframes assigned with missions ranging from close air support, airlift, refueling, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance. This collection makes the base a large hub for humanitarian airlift activity in Iraq, Afghanistan and Horn of Africa while providing mission essential combat power, aeromedical evacuation and intelligence support for three theaters of operations. Dominion is a munitions systems craftsman with 12 years of military service. He is the son of Roxanne Turkovich and stepson of Rick Crain of Daniels Lane, Redding, Calif. The sergeant is a 1996 graduate of Central Valley High School, Shasta Lake City, Calif.
